The aim of the projects is to create the environments in which 20 children residing at the Social Services Society for the Protection of Children can unleash their artistic abilities and to create new horizons in their lives.
The orchestra, founded in terms of the project which has been started in 2009 by MIP and Serkan Gürkan, tango compositor, aranger, artistic director and a masters student at the Vienna Musical Academy, and which is currently continued with the support of the Governorship of Mersin, has taken stage for the first time in April 2011.
MIP has supported the concert as main sponsor. The children of the home will perform in Vienna the capital of Austria in March 2012 and in various cities in Turkey.
The project is of great importance as “Turkey’s First Childrens Home Orchestra”.
