“Obstacles in Our Midst Project” has been carried out by Mersin International Port (MIP) and Human Resources Education & Health Association of Turkey (TIKAV) in 2014 in Mersin. Mersin Governorship, Mersin Provincial Directorate for National Education, Mersin Provincial Directorate of Family&Social Policies support the project and the aim is teaching them disability is not a victimisation, encouraging them to participate in social life and raising awareness of the families with disabled individuals to provide equal opportunities. The project will take place in 5 phases and will include half day training in April, May, September and October.
